A honeymoon shouldn’t feel like a package tour. It should have the villa with its own pool, the dinner on the cliffs and the slow mornings with nothing on the schedule. We lived in Bali for four years and know which places deliver, and which only look good in photos.
Three places, three moods
A good honeymoon often follows the same arc: a dramatic start by the ocean, jungle and culture in the middle and a quiet island to finish. The honeymoon package is 9 days with Ubud, Mt. Batur and Uluwatu. If you want an island to finish, we add nights on Nusa Lembongan or the Gili Islands.

Cliffs and sunsets
A clifftop hotel with ocean views, dinner for two on the cliff edge and the Kecak dance at the temple as the sun goes down. A dramatic, relaxed start after the long flight.

Jungle villa and volcano
A private pool villa among the rice fields, a spa for two and sunrise on Mt. Batur with breakfast at the top. Evenings at some of Bali’s best restaurants.

Island life and calm
A fast boat to a quiet island with turquoise water and sunset drinks by the sea. On Nusa Lembongan you can snorkel with manta rays, and the Gili Islands have turtles, no cars and white beaches. The calm finale before you fly home.
The full day-by-day route, the areas and our tips are in our guide to a Bali honeymoon.
What’s included
8 nights in three areas. The package is a starting point. We change hotels, add nights or another island to suit you.
A private pool villa in Ubud and a beach resort near Uluwatu and Jimbaran. Breakfast included at every hotel.
Airport pick-up and a private driver between areas. No shared minibuses and no haggling.
A guided hike to the top of the volcano with breakfast as the sun rises. One of the highlights of the trip.
A private dinner on the beach or the cliffs, a spa for two and a photographer can be added. We let the hotels know you’re on honeymoon.
One person follows you from the first proposal until you’re home again, including while you’re in Bali.
The package is covered by the Norwegian Travel Guarantee Fund and the Package Travel Act. How you’re protected.
No fixed hotel list, chosen for the two of you
We don’t sell one package with the same hotels for everyone. We listen to what you want and choose hotels and villas around that.
A private pool, ocean views, jungle, peace and quiet or restaurants nearby. We choose by how you like to travel.
Your proposal includes hotel names, photos and prices for every stop before you decide.
We lived in Bali for four years and only recommend places we trust ourselves.
How long should your honeymoon be?
The length decides how many places you can see without rushing. These are the routes we put together most often.
| Length | Route | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| 7–8 nights | Ubud and Uluwatu | Couples with just over a week who want both jungle and ocean |
| 9–10 nights | Ubud, Mt. Batur and Uluwatu, like our honeymoon package | Most couples |
| 12–14 nights | Ubud, Uluwatu and Nusa Lembongan or the Gili Islands | Couples who want to finish on a quiet island |
| 14+ nights | As above, plus Lombok, Komodo or North Bali | Couples who want to combine a honeymoon with adventure |
What makes the trip yours
These can be added anywhere on your trip. Tell us what you’d like, and we’ll arrange it with the hotels and partners we know.
Breakfast served on a tray in your villa’s pool. One of the most popular photos from Bali.
A bathtub filled with flowers when you come back from dinner or the spa.
On the beach in Jimbaran, on the cliffs of Uluwatu or privately in your villa.
Balinese massage side by side, ideally followed by a flower bath.
An hour or half a day with a local photographer on the beach, in the rice terraces or at a temple.
A decorated bed, cake or champagne in the room. We tell the hotels you’re on your honeymoon.

Ten to fourteen days gives you time for three areas without rushing, for example Uluwatu, Ubud and a neighbouring island. With less time, we recommend two areas and more nights in each.
The dry season from April to October. May, June and September have almost as good weather as July and August, with lower prices and fewer tourists. See the best time to travel to Bali.

For July, August and Christmas we recommend 4–6 months ahead, as the best villas go first. The rest of the year 2–3 months is usually enough.
Yes. Many couples leave two or three days after, so they have time to rest. We plan a quiet first day in Bali after the long journey.
Yes. Nusa Lembongan and the Gili Islands are popular endings, and Lombok and Komodo suit couples who want some adventure. Many also combine Bali with a few days in Singapore, Bangkok or Tokyo.
That’s common. We plan days with activities for one of you and the spa or pool for the other, and days you do things together.
