Package travel terms – ReadySetIsland AS
These terms and conditions apply to all package tours purchased through ReadySetIsland AS (organization no. 936 970 990), hereinafter referred to as the organizer.
1. Conclusion of Agreement and Payment Terms
The agreement between the customer and ReadySetIsland AS is considered concluded when the customer has received written confirmation of the booking via email or other electronic confirmation.
The organizer will require a deposit upon booking. The deposit amount is NOK 7000,- per person, and the payment deadline is one week.
If payment is not received within 2 days after the due date, ReadySetIsland AS may cancel the agreement, unless the customer can document that payment has been made within the deadline.
The remaining amount is generally due no later than 65 days before departure, unless the organizer can document earlier payment obligations to subcontractors. Any deviating payment deadlines will be clearly stated before booking.
Travel documents will be sent by email approximately 2 weeks before departure.
2. What the Agreement Includes
The agreement covers the package tour specified in the booking, confirmation, travel voucher, and any additional services agreed upon between the parties.
Information provided on ReadySetIsland's websites, in emails, or other marketing materials is part of the agreement, unless the information has been clearly changed before the agreement was concluded.
3. Price of the Trip
3.1 Price
The agreed price includes all known taxes, fees, and charges. Any local fees that must be paid directly at the destination will be clearly stated.
The price for cancellation protection and travel insurance is additional and is not included in the package tour price.
ReadySetIsland AS reserves the right to adjust prices due to changes in:
- public taxes and fees
- transport costs
- currency exchange rates
Price increases cannot be notified later than 20 days before departure, and cannot exceed 8% without giving the customer the right to free cancellation.
3.2 Deposit
ReadySetIsland AS may set a reasonable deposit. If the trip incurs documented advance costs (e.g., flights, hotels, or activities without refund rights), the deposit may be increased accordingly.
4. Special Conditions
4.1 Cancellation Protection and Travel Insurance
Customers are strongly encouraged to purchase cancellation insurance and travel insurance. ReadySetIsland AS does not provide insurance but informs about the need for it.
4.2 Entry Regulations
The customer is responsible for a valid passport, visa, and necessary documents. ReadySetIsland AS provides general guidance but does not take responsibility for changes in entry regulations.
4.3 Health
The customer is responsible for familiarizing themselves with health requirements and recommendations for the destination.
5. Cancellation and Transfer
5.1 Cancellation due to Extraordinary Circumstances
The customer may cancel free of charge due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances that significantly affect the trip (war, natural disasters, serious illness, etc.).
5.2 Cancellation against a Fee
- Within 24 hours you can cancel free of charge
- After 24 hours we retain the deposit
- 65–36 days before departure: 50 percent of the tour price as a cancellation fee
-
Less than 35 days before departure: no refund (except public fees)
Cancellation must be made in writing to info@readysetisland.no
The cancellation date is considered the date the cancellation is received by ReadySetIsland. If it is a public holiday/general day off, it is counted from the next business day.
Already paid flight tickets for which ReadySetIsland does not receive a refund must be covered if you cancel the trip.
The terms in this point deviate from the norm as described in the General Terms and Conditions for Package Tours. This is due to guarantees and obligations to subcontractors.
5.3 Cancellation due to Illness (Insurance)
In the case of valid cancellation insurance, the insurance company's terms and conditions apply. The customer is obliged to document the circumstances.
5.4 Transfer of the Trip
The customer may transfer the trip to another person who meets the conditions, subject to any fees. The original customer and the new traveler are jointly and severally liable. Airlines generally do not allow transfer to another person.
6. Organizer's Right to Change or Cancel
ReadySetIsland AS may cancel the trip due to:
- too few participants
- unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances
In case of cancellation, all paid amounts will be refunded, or the customer will be offered an alternative trip.
